About
We are a working group of QPIRG-McGill focused on promoting environmental awareness and activism on campus. We work on educational projects such as our recent ‘From Field to Feast’ campaign to raise awareness of local food, hold events such as Car-Free Day to promote a car-free campus, and develop resources for green student living such as the Green Events Guide (final edition coming soon!). In the past we have fostered projects such as the Plate Club and the McGill Food Systems Project.
In September 2009 we will launch our Principled Purchasing Campaign, selling “green kits” of environmentally-friendly school and home supplies at subsidized rates. You’ll be able to find us at Frosh and at the Farmers Market at McGill (Three Bares Park (by the McGill crossroads), every Tuesday afternoon September through October).
During the Fall and Winter semesters we meet each week at QPIRG McGill (3647 University, 3rd floor). Our Fall 2009 meeting time will be posted here in September!
